Brittany McFarland, MA, LPCC
Brittany McFarland is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor trained to diagnose and treat a wide range of mental and emotional disorders using individual, family and group interventions. She received her master’s degree in community counseling from the University of Toledo. Before joining Providers for Healthy Living, Brittany was a mental health therapist at a community mental health agency where she provided individual, family and group therapy.
Brittany has experience working in partial hospitalization programs, and intensive outpatient programs for alcohol and drug treatment, where she conducted individual and group therapies, and worked closely with families. Her clinical strengths include working with adolescents and adults with severe mental, emotional and behavioral disturbances (particularly those with Posttraumatic Stress, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorders, ADHD, family issues and alcohol and/or drug use). Brittany enjoys using cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy to address mood disorders, anxiety disorders, posttraumatic stress disorder, family conflict, sexual acceptance and coming out issues, and alcohol and drug issues.
